Winterton Christmas Light Switch On 2015

On Saturday 28th November we hosted the fourth Winterton Christmas Light Switch On in partnership with Winterton Town Council. Sadly it was the first year when the weather wasn't on our side with rain showers interrupting the evening and strong winds creating difficulty.

 

However the event still went ahead, and although the attendance was influenced by the bad weather we were thrilled to still receive lots of support and enjoy the festive fun!

 

Our popular Light Switch On Raffle was a huge hit again with Christopher winning the chance to turn on the Christmas Lights with our branch mascot Bloodwise Bear, and the Mayor of Winterton, Fran Fletcher. As well as this we were joined by Anna from Frozen who sang for us and after a long day for Santa at the Winterton and District Lions Christmas Market he joined us in his buggy. We also had festive treats music and activities including facepainting. 

 

Thank you to everyone that supported this years event, especially in the horrible weather, we raised a fantastic £125.98 to beat blood cancer!
