Community Champion Awards 2015

This years Community Champion Awards was well represented by Winterton. Daniel Redhead, Branch Co-ordinator, and Hannah Dunkerley, Branch Secretary were both been shortlisted for awards for their work with our branch. 

 

Daniel was nominated by Joe Richards from our fundraising team in the Young Volunteer of the year category receiving the runner up prize. Hannah received her nominations from both Joe and Daniel in the Young Outstanding Achievement category also receiving the runner up prize.

 

As well as this Daniel also nominated John Fitzgerald and Don Johnson for awards. John Fitzgerald was shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution to a Learning Community, following his retirement as Headteacher at Winterton Community Academy this summer. He also recevieved the runner up prize at the event.  

 

Don Johnson was also shortlisted and won the Lifetime Achievement Award as he is soon to celebrate 50 years as a town councillor for Winterton, among many other roles in the community.

 

The Community Champion Awards took place at the Baths Hall on Thursday 26th November when the presentations for all 22 awards took place. A huge congratulations to Daniel, Hannah, Don, John and all those that received winner and runner up prizes at the event.
